Akinwande Nano Research Group: August 2023 - Present

Blood Pressure Prediction using Machine Learning

  • Developed a machine learning model in Python to continuously predict blood pressure from bio-impedance signal.
  • Utilized MATLAB for continuous signal processing and feature extraction from RF signal and FFT.
  • Proposed clusters based on underlying physics of fluid flow and validated my results with train, test, split.
  • Evaluated multiple models using residual analysis, prediction validation, and statistical analysis of errors.

Product Performance Dashboard Automation using JMP and JSL

  • Automated an internal data analysis and comparison tool and significantly enhanced its functionality using JMP.
  • Implemented database integration with Snowflake and reduced report generation time by 90%.
  • Developed a UI and merged it with internal tools to improve speed, convenience, and streamline user workflow.
  • Used principles of modular programming to prepare for future technologies and feature extensions.

  • Biofuel Production Process Design and Economic Analysis: November 2022

    • Developed a method of producing renewable transportation fuels from clean energy sources and hydrogen.
    • Estimated the effectiveness and feasibility of our design both physically, and financially in the European market.
    • Worked with a cross-functional international team to devlop our idea and present it at an energy showcase.
  • Excel Simulation of a Thermal Energy Storage: November 2022

    • Simulated a thermal energy storage, determined the optimal design, and estimated yearly efficiency.
    • Visualized energy production and storage over the year using Python.
    • Presented a report on our design's predicted performance and estimated monetary and energy savings.
  • Python Simulation of an Energy Island: October 2022

    • Simulated and optimized a coupled set of thermal and electrical energy storage devices using Python.
    • Estimated the effectiveness and feasibility of our design both physically, and financially in the European market.
  • Implementation of HPLC for Biologic Drug Quality Analysis: October 2022

    • Researched the implementation of a new chromatography analysis tool in the production of biosimilar drugs.
    • Determined the financial and process related risks and benefits associated with the proposed changes to the process.
